Join the Autism Society of PEI’s TEEN Advisory Panel
This looks like an opportunity either for members of this group or for children of members of this group. Especially for anyone who took the training I posted about previously at Compassion Corner in Summerside. Their language isn't quite right but you could help them with that 🙂
"Who better to assist PEI teens on the spectrum than teens living with ASD? The Autism Society of PEI is seeking teens aged 13-19 to represent the Autism Society of PEI's Teen Advisory Panel.
Why join the TEEN Advisory Panel? The Autism Society will seek your knowledge and feedback on future programs and events. We will also seek your support in recognizing "gap areas" in PEI supports and services.
Commitment:
The established panel will meet 2 - 4 times per year (virtual or in person) to discuss and plan next steps. Meetings will be 1 hour in duration. Participants will have the option to hold in person or virtual group meetings.

Take part in community conferences or events, such as "Ask a Teen on the Spectrum”, etc. Participate in media interviews and/or teen focus groups.
Assist to develop and deliver special projects and programs to educate and raise awareness for ASD among youth on PEI.
Connect with others, learn new skills and add the experience to your resume.
Panelist members will receive a small Honorarium for their time.

April 9th 2025
6:00 - 7:15pm. (Virtual or in person)
June 11th 2025
6:00 - 7:15pm. (Virtual or in person)
