Hello,

My name is Lisa, and I am the Research Coordinator for the Independent Living Canada Festival and Event Accessibility Project. Our Site Coordinator was in contact with you earlier in the year. Thank you for helping us with our January survey, and June focus groups, we really appreciated it!

Our new Festival and Event Accessibility Quick Survey was created to gather final input from Canadians with disabilities, and those who support us. We need your help with the final round of information gathering!

Please distribute our Quick Survey on your social media feeds, lists and listservs, in your office to volunteers, employees, members, and committees, and at any events and festivals you create or attend. We need all input no later than January 31, 2025 (Extended!).

The Quick Survey takes two to three minutes to fill out, and is anonymous. It is online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FestivalEventAccessibilityQuickSurvey . More information on the other options, such as Word, ASL, LSQ, and voice, are on the website, https://www.ilc-vac.ca/festivalaccess-quicksurvey .

To remind you, our project focuses on the accessibility of Canadian outdoor, indoor, and virtual festivals and events. The input we get will create Canadian festival and event accessibility recommendations. Canadian festivals and events will use these, and they will inform future standards for Accessibility Standards Canada.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Cheers

Lisa

This project is funded by Accessibility Standards Canada, and the Government of Canada.
