Just sharing in case anyone is interested. According to the attachments its free training for some pretty good jobs. I don't know anything about the program, how she got our email, or why she thinks you all are my clients. 😂
"Hello, I hope you are doing well! I am reaching out to share some information about SkillingUp which is a new program March of Dimes Canada has recently launched in partnership with Microsoft and CIBC.
SkillingUp is a digital literacy training and workforce development program that supports job seekers across Canada to gain access to the skills, training and certifications required for in-demand ICT roles, while also connecting them to tech-enabled jobs. This includes industry-recognized, Microsoft certifications. This on-line program is completely free and self- paced for people who self-identify as having a disability, who are interested in learning new digital skills, and/or would like to upskill. I have attached a PDF with our current pathway offerings as well as a two-pager that you are welcome to distribute to your clients or anyone you feel might be interested. If you would like to learn more, we have a series of webinars for both Employment Service Providers and prospective learners. You and your clients can register through the link below, or if you have a client that would be interested and would like to start learning they can submit an inquiry directly to our coordinator. Clients continue to access your services while participating in SkillingUp concurrently. Lol @ the "client" thing. I can't help but imagine a therapy model where clinicians get their clients to join the same online group. 💀*shudders*
But in all seriousness, this program seems really neat! I looked around on the MDC website, and they offer other resources that people might find interesting too. Incl. vocational rehabilitation and a "Youth Employment and Skills Strategy Program."
