We're having a meeting!
The first Meeting of PEI Autistic Adults will be on Saturday September 10 3:30-4:30 pm in the Blue Jay Room at the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre @ Dominion Building, 97 Queen St, Charlottetown. All members are welcome - first 10 get a seat 😀
We can discuss setting up regular (monthly?) meetings, if we need rules of engagement for the group, membership requirements (?) and then general discussion of anything anyone wants to talk about.
I hope people will come to the meeting. I was recently emailing with Sandy Slade who started the ADHD Support group(s). He said for about the first year, there were just 4 of them at the meetings. They now have 2 in person meetings a week, 1 in S'Side and 1 in Ch'town, a weekly zoom, over 150 followers on Facebook, etc . So I think our group will grow too...we just have to get started.
Why I believe that was you Bailey who first told me there were meeting rooms at the Library, LOL. But the Blue Jay room turned out to be hard for me to book - I think the person in charge would rather keep the rooms empty - so now we're meeting at Robertson Library at UPEI. Hope to see you at UPEI this Saturday!
