Ensuring our Group is Inclusive and Accessible for All
Hi everyone. I'm putting together some rules/guidelines/etc for the support group PEI Autistic Adults to ensure all our spaces are inclusive, accessible to all members, accepting, and supportive so everyone is comfortable interacting. I was already looking into rules for support groups and then I've received some comments and one complaint so I thought I better get on with it. 😃 I'd really like to get some feedback/suggestions this time on how ALL our spaces can be accessible to ALL members, accepting, and supportive. Please comment below or send me a private message.
One thing mentioned was people or organizations belonging to our groups who are not autistic - I don't mean not diagnosed, I mean not autistic - so I'd like to have feedback on that. Do you feel you're being monitored or does it make you uncomfortable in any way? I thought they would be interacting with us in a positive way, posting about programs or support for adults but that doesn't seem to be the case.
And I found a site all about making autistic spaces and community inclusive (gotta love a deep dive) so I expect to get some suggestions from that.
Please comment below or send me a private message. thanks!

As mentioned I was going to create guidelines for content for all our spaces to go along with our guidelines for conduct but I've changed my mind. Unfortunately I simply don't have the capacity or spoons if you will to do it.
I'd like to focus on what we have now and moving forward as a group. I was warned by someone who runs a support group not to add too many things too quickly or we would lose our focus . I kinda think we're losing the point of the support group or at least what the point was in the beginning. Its really not about the software or the platform its about coming together and being supportive to each other. Later if we decide as a group that we need something else we can look into it then. Hope that's ok with everyone. Thanks!
